Star Trek’s Jolene Blalock Joins Legend Of The Seeker This Month

ACTRESS Jolene Blalock, best known for her role as the Vulcan sub-commander T’Pol in Star Trek: Enterprise, has been cast in a recurring role in season two of the nationally syndicated action/fantasy series Legend of the Seeker. She will portray Nicci, a mysterious Sister of the Dark who possesses a very powerful magic – she not only threaten’s Richard’s (Craig Horner) quest to defeat the evil forces, but her goal is to destroy Kahlan (Bridget Regan). 

Besides Star Trek, Blalock has also guest-starred on Stargate SG-1 as well as appeared in the feature film Starship Troopers 3: Marauder. The actress began her career at the young age of 17, modeling in Europe and Asia. After that, she began to pursue acting and has had roles in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Jason and the Argonauts, Diamond Hunters, On The Edge, JAG and Veronica’s Closet. Legend Of The Seeker Stars In Times Square

TODAY, Legend of the Seeker stars Craig Horner and Bridget Regan left their mark in Times Square, New York, as Craig “slashed” a vehicle in the middle of Military Island, and the two stars greeted fans. Craig and Bridget, who shoot the action-adventure series in New Zealand, were in town promoting season two of their show, which premieres in national syndication this weekend (check local listings).

Legend Of The Seeker Marathon On Syfy

THE Syfy Channel has partnered with Disney-ABC Domestic Television to present a special Legend of the Seeker marathon event on Thursday, November 5th from 6 p.m. – 12 a.m. EST/PST. The marathon will give fans a chance to catch up and relive six favorite episodes from the first season of the epic fantasy series, and also serve to introduce the show to Syfy viewers who may not have experienced it. Combining elements of fantasy, adventure, magic, mystery and romance with state-of-the-art visual effects and a high level of action, the series is an adaptation of internationally best-selling author Terry Goodkind’s Sword of Truth book series.

The marathon begins with the series premiere, when Richard Cypher (Craig Horner, Monarch Cove and Blue Water High) first discovers his destiny to stop the sinister tyrant Darken Rahl (Craig Parker, The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring and The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers). Richard partners up with the beautiful and mysterious Kahlan (Bridget Regan, Sex and the City and The Best and the Brightest) and a wise and powerful old wizard named Zedd (Bruce Spence, Mad Max 2 and The Matrix Revolutions) who have both sworn to assist Richard in his mission.

The six episodes featured in the marathon are Prophecy followed by Destiny, Denna, Puppeteer, Conversion and Fever. Season two of Legend of the Seeker will premiere the weekend of November 7th in national syndication.

Legend Of The Seeker Returns In November

THE captivating action-adventure series Legend of the Seeker will premiere its highly-anticipated second season the weekend of November 7th. The two-hour television event will begin with the first season’s thrilling finale followed by the riveting second season premiere episode. Combining elements of fantasy, adventure, magic, mystery and romance with state-of-the-art visual effects and high level of action, Legend of the Seeker is an adaptation of internationally best-selling author Terry Goodkind’s Sword of Truth book series.

Joining the cast this season as a series regular is Tabrett Bethell (Mei Li Johnson), reprising her role as the fierce Mord’Sith Cara, who threatens Richard (Craig Horner, Monarch Cove and Blue Water High) and Kahlan’s (Bridget Regan, Sex and the City and The Best and the Brightest) close relationship. Additionally, actress Charisma Carpenter, best known for her starring role as Cordelia on the long-running hit series Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel, will guest-star in the season premiere as a wicked Mord’Sith named Triana, who challenges Cara’s authority.

In the second season, Richard, Kahlan and Zedd (Bruce Spence, Mad Max 2 and The Matrix Revolutions) will encounter an array of rich and compelling new characters, both good and evil, and they will be tested in ways that they never could have imagined. The trio will discover that in defeating the bloodthirsty tyrant Darken Rahl (Craig Parker, The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring and The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers) at the end of season one, their victory is short-lived as they inadvertently opened a rift into the underworld, thus unleashing even greater evils on the world.

THE captivating, action-adventure series Legend of the Seeker will premiere its highly-anticipated second season the weekend of November 7th, it was announced at the 2009 Comic-Con International Convention during a panel led by executive producers Ken Biller and Ned Nalle and featuring Terry Goodkind and Bruce Spence. Shot with the exotic and rugged New Zealand landscape as its backdrop, the weekly series has resumed production on 22 all-new action-packed episodes. Combining elements of fantasy, adventure, magic, mystery and romance with state of the art visual effects and a high level of action, Legend of the Seeker is an adaptation of internationally best-selling author Terry Goodkind’s Sword of Truth book series.

The executive producers also announced that actress Tabrett Bethell (Mei Li Johnson) will join the cast as a series regular. Bethell reprises her role as Cara, a Mord’Sith that will create tenson between Richard and Kahlan. In the upcoming second season, Richard, Kahlan and Zedd will encounter an array of rich and compelling new characters, both good and evil, and they will be tested in ways that they never could have imagined. The trio will discover that in defeating the bloodthirsty tyrant Darken Rahl, their victory is short-lived as they inadvertently unleashed an even greater evil on the world. “New and even more ferocious villains will be introduced in the next chapter of Richard’s journey that will astonish viewers,” commented executive producer Ken Biller.

Legend of the Seeker airs Saturdays and Sundays in national syndication. Season two is scheduled to premiere in the Fall of 2009.
